Step 2 of 4

Estimated Credit Score

Helpful Hints

  • Use the Best Score: pick the credit score for the borrower or co-applicant - whichever is higher.
  • Better Rates: a stronger credit score can unlock lower rates and bigger savings other lenders can't touch.
  • No Impact on Credit Score: This won’t affect anyone’s credit and you can change it later if needed.
Choose your credit score range to customize rate options.*

Important Notice

Why is a Co-Applicant Important?

  • Applying with a creditworthy co-applicant can improve your chance of getting approved or a lower rate
  • A co-applicant can be a parent, guardian, or even a family friend.
  • When you apply with a co-applicant, if they have a higher credit score, it will be used instead

Most of our credit union partners require a minimum credit score of 660 for solo applications and co-applicants. Student borrowers applying with a qualified co-applicant must have either zero credit or a minimum score of 620. A lower score will significantly reduce the chance of your application being approved. If you have a co-applicant, please use their credit score range to estimate your rates.

If you click “Proceed Anyway,” we’ll show you rates based on a credit score of 660. If you choose to submit a credit application and your score does not meet the minimum requirements above, it is highly unlikely that your application will be approved.
